Gatehouse

As you stand in the centre of this gateway you get your first real glimpse of the Taj Mahal. Standing a few steps forward, at the very centre of the gatehouse, you are directly benieth an aged chandelier and you can see the main structure of the Taj. Walking further forward, out of the gate and into the bright early morning sunlight, the Taj Mahal in all its entirety presents itself to you, opening out like a picture.

Well, the guide would have been perfectly right about that if only I was tall enough to see over the other tourists...
